When we first met with our clients in Buckley, it was obvious that the backyard was completely overgrown and in desperate need of a redo. Both work full time and had very little time to keep up on the large backyard. Unfortunately, my GoPro memory card melted in the hot sun and the before shots are lost (RATS!). We sketched out their ideas for the backyard and with their approval, we got right to work. In seven days we completely transformed this overgrown backyard. Our first two days we graded the yard, brought in 26 yards of 5/8″ crushed gravel, and graded for proper slope and drainage. Day three we set forms for the pour, tie Karbon Bar throughout, and prep the area for concrete. Day four, our line pump pumped 16 yards of stamped concrete mix. Usually we have integral color mixed at the plant, but since we were staining the existing, we didn’t add color to this pour.
Roman Slate Stamp Pattern
Our stamp pattern is Roman Slate and it is a perfect match to the existing.

Notice the detail on the curb facing? The retaining wall matches the colors of the concrete perfectly. The fire pit area is 18×18 with a four ft opening for a fire pit. The clients are thrilled to be able to make S’mores with their grandchildren. The emerald green artificial turf ties everything together. Since they have a dog, we applied a pet friendly infill that will neutralize odors. Finally, we installed a Full Panel 10 ft double gate.

What Can We Before & After For You?
In just seven days, we added to the existing stamped concrete, added a fire pit, and then stained, colored, and sealed everything to match. Then we added 60 ft of retaining wall and a nice planting area that we’ll fill in with plants next month. Finally, the artificial turf brings the entire project together. No maintenance and nothing to do but add furniture and relax 🙂 What can we Before and After for you?
